Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make an impact this school year as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), supporting young learners in kindergarten through fourth grade. In this contract role, you'll work full-time (32.5 hours per week), providing direct services and collaborating with dedicated educators in a supportive environment near Fall River, MA. This position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to contribute over several academic years.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Experience or clinical training within a school-based or pediatric setting Solid understanding of language, speech, and communication development in early and elementary students Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team Strong written and verbal communication skills Passion for helping children achieve academic and communication milestones
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-4 under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Track student progress and maintain accurate, timely records and documentation Support classroom teachers with strategies for language development and communication skills Assist in the administration of informal speech and language screenings as needed Participate in team meetings, staff development, and parent conferences when appropriate This is a rewarding opportunity to support a dynamic student population while being part of a collaborative, mission-driven school setting.
