This is a short term position for maternity coverage. It could become a permanent part time position depending on caseload. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will support licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering therapy services to clients. This position is ideal for individuals who are flexible, dedicated, and passionate about making a positive impact on others' communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist SLPs in implementing individualized treatment plans for clients.
• Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP.
• Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with SLPs and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide support and encouragement to clients during therapy sessions.
• Adapt therapy activities to meet the specific needs and abilities of clients.
• Collaborate with administrative team to manage appointments and cancellations.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
• Knowledge of Gestalt Language Processing is preferred.
• Experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work PRN (as needed) with the potential for a permanent position.
