Jul 30, 2026 Job Description Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides direct therapy services to clients under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLPA assists with implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and supporting communication development goals for students receiving speech services. Responsibilities Provide direct speech and language therapy services under SLP supervision Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP Assist with speech, language, and communication activities Collect and document student data and progress notes Prepare therapy materials and activities Collaborate with supervising SLP and IEP team members Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding session activities Maintain accurate and timely documentation Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program Active North Carolina SLPA license (or eligibility) Experience working with school-age populations preferred Experience with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, learning disablilities Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Skills Experience working in school-based settings Familiarity with AAC devices and communication systems Ability to engage and motivate students Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Work Environment School-based services Supportive, team-oriented environment Schedule Flexible (2 days per wk based on case load)
