Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support communication development in a school setting located in Swan Quarter, NC. This full-time contract position allows professionals to make a meaningful impact by assisting students with speech and language challenges, contributing to their academic success and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy and intervention services tailored to student needs. Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under clinical supervision. Document and track student progress to help inform ongoing therapy adjustments. Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to create a supportive and effective learning environment. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all professional activities.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Experience working as an SLPA, preferably within educational settings; healthcare background is a valuable asset. Familiarity with speech-language intervention methods suitable for school-aged children. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students and staff. Ability to work independently while following established therapy plans. Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.
Location and Work Details:
Position located in Swan Quarter, North Carolina. School-based contract role. Full-time schedule.
