Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational setting where your skills as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) make a tangible difference for students. This rewarding contract opportunity offers part-time hours, ideally spread across two days per week (preferably Tuesday and Thursday, but there is flexibility to accommodate your schedule). The primary focus will be working with high school students, with occasional interaction with PreK learners. You'll collaborate closely with a seasoned onsite Occupational Therapist who provides mentorship and ongoing support. This is an ideal environment for professionals seeking to broaden their experience in schools, enjoy work-life balance, and contribute meaningfully to student development from ASAP through June 12th, 2026.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active COTA license and certification Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt approaches to meet diverse student needs Enthusiasm for collaborative, student-centered support Familiarity with high school and PreK populations is a plus
Responsibilities:
Implement OT plans under the supervision of an onsite Occupational Therapist Deliver targeted interventions supporting student engagement and independence in school activities Document sessions and progress in accordance with district guidelines Provide hands-on support in both group and one-to-one settings Participate in team meetings as needed to coordinate care and share insights
