In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists to implement therapy plans, assist in early intervention programs, and help students achieve their communication goals. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs Support students during speech therapy activities focused on improving articulation, language, voice, and fluency Implement therapy strategies within classrooms, clinics, or early intervention programs under supervision Help prepare therapy materials and maintain organized documentation of student progress Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals and IEP (Individualized Education Program) objectives Monitor student responses during sessions and provide feedback to the supervising clinician Participate in school-based or clinical team meetings to discuss student progress and plan next steps Requirements Proven experience working with children, especially in pediatric or school environments Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to communication disorders Familiarity with early intervention practices and IEP processes for students with special needs Ability to work effectively with students across diverse age groups and developmental levels Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language development within educational or acute care settings Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, therapists, and families Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory; relevant coursework or internship experience is valued This position is an excellent stepping stone for those passionate about pediatric healthcare, speech therapy, and making a positive impact on children's lives.
