Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. There is a full-time contract job available for experienced Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant for the new school year. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for this school-based role. To be considered, you must meet all requirements set in place by local and state regulations. Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred. Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed SLP to implement treatment plans, conduct speech/language therapy (individual or group), and document progress for students with communication disorders. They prepare therapy materials, assist with screenings, maintain equipment, and support classroom instruction to foster language. Implement documented treatment plans and individualized education programs (IEPs) for speech, language, voice, and fluency. Document student progress toward objectives, maintain records, and report findings to the supervising SLP. Create, select, and prepare therapy materials and equipment for sessions. Conduct speech and language screenings (without interpretation) using established protocols. Assist in maintaining an orderly, productive learning environment, often managing student behavior as designed by certified staff. Support the SLP with family/teacher communication, caregiver training, and IEP meetings. Bachelor's Level Degree. State license required and sometimes state educational certification.
