Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) seeking to make an immediate impact in school settings along the scenic Southeast Texas Coast. This full-time contract role is a great way to gain experience and support students during the crucial beginning weeks of the academic year. Starting on August 10, 2026, and continuing through September 25, 2026, SLPAs will be an integral part of the district's special education services by helping substitute for permanent staff while they complete mandatory observation hours for licensure. Up to four SLPAs are needed to help cover this essential support, making collaboration and flexibility key attributes for success. Caseload specifics and school assignments will be finalized soon, offering additional clarity as the school year approaches.
