Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid SLPA license required Previous experience in a school setting, specifically with secondary (middle/high school) students, preferred Exposure to or strong interest in working with AAC devices; prior AAC experience is a distinct advantage Must be able to meet state fingerprinting and background check requirements promptly Professionalism and flexibility to manage a caseload averaging 80-90 students, adjusted according to skill level Strong communication and organizational abilities Candidates will be asked if they have previously worked for Lamar district and if they have ever been terminated from a school district, as this will impact eligibility
