Job Description

Step into a supportive, collaborative educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant specializing in school-based and healthcare settings. This contract opportunity is available in the Katy, TX area, offering both part-time and full-time scheduling options with an immediate start date through the end of the school year. The role is itinerant, allowing you to work across multiple school sites while supporting a diverse student population.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Texas SLPA license required Previous experience in school-based and/or healthcare therapy environments strongly preferred Understanding of IEP processes and comfort with digital documentation systems Proven ability to adapt therapy for a variety of student needs in both one-on-one and group settings Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills Openness to working as part of a multidisciplinary team under district supervision
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP, following individual education plans Conduct screenings, collect data, and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district procedures Travel between assigned schools to provide support where needed, compensated for travel time Collaborate with educators and parents to support student progress and participate in team meetings Receive on-the-job training, including IEP system orientation and ongoing support from district supervisors Uphold school and district policies regarding confidentiality, conduct, and student safety
