Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school-based setting near Killeen, TX. This position offers both full and part-time options, allowing you to find the right fit for your schedule while making a meaningful impact on children's communication development. You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated team, with caseload ages and preferences personalized during the interview process and supported by a commitment to maintain manageable caseloads.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Current, active Texas SLPA license (must be in effect by the start date) Previous school-based SLPA experience is preferred, though not required Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Flexibility to adapt to varying student needs and school environments Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to students Support the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) Document progress, maintain accurate records, and report student outcomes Help facilitate engaging, evidence-based speech and language activities Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families Participate in team meetings and contribute your insights to student progress plans
