03/31/2026 Qualified candidate eligible for $1,500 Hard-to-Fill Licensed Position Stipend. If hired as Bilingual Speech/Language Pathologist, also eligible for $5,500 Bilingual Services Stipend.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Provide therapeutic intervention to reduce or eliminate impairments that interfere with a student's ability to benefit from the educational program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or related field Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders Ability to instruct and manage student behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
One year of supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Therapy Provide individual and group therapy aligned to IEP goals under supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Implement carry-over activities to reinforce newly acquired communication skills across settings. Implement assistive technology programs to support student communication needs. Support delivery of district-approved interventions for students with communication deficits. Assessment Gather and document data under supervision to support identification and eligibility decisions for speech-language services. Consultation Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student communication goals. Communicate effectively with staff, students, and supervising Speech-Language Pathologist regarding student progress. Student Management Create a learning environment appropriate to student developmental levels. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and campus expectations. Administration Compile, maintain, and file required reports, records, and documentation. Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and board policies. Follow all district and campus procedures and expectations. Participate in professional learning to improve job-related skills. Other Maintain confidentiality in accordance with
