Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role making a direct impact on students' communication skills as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Qualifications and Experience:
Holds a valid SLPA license or certification as required Previous experience working as an SLPA in educational settings preferred Familiarity with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and therapy documentation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families Compassion, patience, and adaptability to support diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Support students individually or in small groups to achieve speech goals outlined in IEPs Collect data, track student progress, and assist in maintaining accurate records Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to create supportive learning environments Prepare and organize therapy materials and assist with scheduling Participate in staff meetings and professional development as needed This position offers you a unique opportunity to advance your skills while positively influencing students' daily lives.
