Skills, Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Speech or Communication Disorders is required Previous experience in a school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) highly desirable Strong interpersonal abilities and comfort working with diverse student populations Excellent communication, organization, and observation skills Ability to adapt to different school environments and work effectively as part of a support team

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapy services to students under supervision according to documented IEP goals Assist speech-language pathologists with implementing therapy programs and tracking student progress Prepare materials and maintain documentation in accordance with school and district requirements Work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to encourage positive outcomes Maintain confidentiality while supporting a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all learners
