Bachelors degree in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology, or Speech/Communication Disorders Previous school-based experience or practicum work is highly desired Familiarity with IEP documentation and supporting objectives for students with communication needs Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for students with diverse backgrounds and abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families Ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting SLPA license is not required for this role in the state What youll do: Work closely with certified SLPs to implement therapy plans and provide direct speech/language support to students Assist with conducting screenings and language-related activities in a variety of elementary and secondary settings Facilitate clear communication and engagement with teachers and families regarding student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, goals, and student progress Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and ongoing professional development as needed Experience the satisfaction of helping students develop essential communication skills.
