Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Previous experience in a pediatric or school setting strongly preferred Strong understanding of best practices, adaptive technology, and Braille Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school teams Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empowering learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support and personalized instruction to a student with visual impairments Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to adapt curriculum and materials Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) addressing specific educational goals Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary Advocate for student needs and facilitate independence, accessibility, and self-advocacy skills Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development to ensure best outcomes
