Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers a chance to collaborate with a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist and support a caseload of approximately 35-40 students in a vibrant educational environment. The position spans from ASAP through June 23, 2027, with 32.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
Active Washington State SLPA license, or willingness to obtain one Fingerprinting through OSPI, or ability to complete this requirement Previous experience with middle school-aged students preferred, though not required—open to those familiar with the middle school setting Ability to provide diligent and compassionate support alongside a virtual
SLP Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to middle school students as delegated by the supervising virtual SLP Document student progress and session data accurately and in a timely manner Work collaboratively within the school team and communicate clearly with educators and staff Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel valued This rewarding assignment provides flexibility through a contract arrangement, allowing you to focus on what matters most: student growth and communication development.
