Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students for the 2026-2027 academic year! We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide in-person services at the middle school level, working in alignment with a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about fostering communication development and making a meaningful impact within a supportive school setting. In this role, you'll work with a manageable caseload of 35-40 students, offering services throughout the academic year, from ASAP through June 23, 2027. The position offers a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week. While previous experience in a middle school is preferred, candidates with a foundational understanding of this age group are encouraged to apply, as support and guidance will be provided.
Qualifications:
Current Washington SLPA licensure, or willingness to obtain prior to start OSPI fingerprint clearance or ability to complete the process Experience working with school-aged children; middle school familiarity is an advantage Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering student engagement and growth
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language services as directed by a virtual SLP Manage a caseload of middle school students with diverse needs Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school standards Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student progress Participate in team meetings as needed This contract position offers a highly competitive hourly rate, making it a compelling choice for travel professionals or those seeking a flexible school-based career.
