QUINCY SCHOOL DISTRICT TELETHERAPY ASSISTANT

District Wide Conditions of work: 180 days/ 7 hrs per day
SUMMARY:
The Teletherapy Assistant provides direct and indirect support to licensed therapist in delivering services to students. This role focuses on assisting with virtual therapy sessions, managing technology, preparing digital resources, and documenting student progress. The Teletherapy Assisstant works under the supervision of a licensed specialist and ensures compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and district guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Facilitate student participation in teletherapy sessions, including helping students log in, navigate platforms, and remain engaged. Monitor student behavior and provide redirection or support during online sessions. Assist in the delivery of virtual therapy sessions as directed by the supervising specialist. Set up and troubleshoot teletherapy platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, or other district-approved tools). Ensure all necessary technology and materials are ready for each session. Prepare and organize digital therapy resources, visual aids, and activities. Record data on student performance during teletherapy sessions. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress. Report observations and feedback to the supervising therapist. Collaborative skills when working with team members. Communication skills necessary to work with students, parents and staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with children ages 3 -22 years of age in a variety of settings. Valid Washington State Driver's License. Prior experience working with diverse cultures. Ability to function independently and as a team member. Ability to effectively plan and organize service delivery and data collection. Demonstrates a high level of competence in written (computer) and oral communications. Experience in basic computer skills (word processing, e-mail, data entry)..
