Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential speech and language services in a school setting located in Tacoma, WA. This contract position involves working collaboratively with licensed speech-language pathologists to support students' communication development and help them achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with speech and language therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs Collect and document student data to track progress and outcomes Prepare and maintain therapy materials and documentation Communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff to support student success Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality standards
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of Washington Experience working with children in school or clinical settings preferred Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to follow supervision and guidance from licensed speech-language pathologists Commitment to student well-being and educational support
