Job Description

This recruitment is open until filled. Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for a Central Sterile Technician to join our Central Sterile Supply team in our Surgical Services department!
Pay Information:
Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires:
This position starts at $21.59 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Nurse Manager and with day to day supervision from the Lead Central Sterile Room Technician, incumbents receive formal training and clinical experience performing duties and responsibilities to ensure all surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed in a quality/timely manner. This position is the fully proficient level while the Lead level acts as the subject matter expert; serves as a resource for sterile processing functions/processes; provides training to new or existing employees; provides coaching/mentoring. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in sterile processing procedures in a hospital setting. Certification(s): Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of appointment. License(s):
