Description:
The Central Sterile Supervisor is a leadership position overseeing the daily functions within Central Sterilization Department. The individual is responsible for assuring the ongoing readiness of the department, compliance with organizational & regulatory standards, interviewing, and on-boarding new employees, conducting performance evaluations, participation in quality assurance program, attainment of department goals and management of department expenses. Estimated pay range for this position is $30.29 - $39.38 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees:
High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required
Licenses & Certifications:
HSPA Certified Endoscope Reprocessor. HSPA Certified Instrument Specialist. HSPA Certified Registered Central Service Technician. NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist. Sterile Processing Certification. HSPA Certified Central Service Vendor Partner. Cert Sterile Process and Dist. HSPA Certification in Healthcare Leadership.
Additional Qualifications:
Excellent leadership, organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills required. Superior role model to others. Previous healthcare supervision highly preferred. Must be computer literate. Successful completion of an approved sterilization technician or operating room technician course and attainment of certification. Certification from at least one of the following: IAHCSMM (CRCST, CER, CIS, CHL, CCSVP), CBSPD, or CST. Preference for Certification in Sterile Processing Management.
