Qualifications:
Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent). Demonstrated experience in a healthcare setting processing surgical instruments and medical equipment. Strong understanding of infection prevention, decontamination, and sterilization protocols. Ability to utilize sterilization equipment (such as autoclaves), washers, and scope reprocessors. Detail-oriented with organizational skills for inventory management and documentation. Professional communication and team collaboration abilities. Reliable work ethic and adherence to safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
Clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and equipment in accordance with facility procedures. Perform quality inspections of instruments and equipment before and after sterilization processes. Maintain accurate records for sterilization cycles, biological tests, and inventory levels. Safely operate and troubleshoot sterilization devices and washers. Assist with distributing sterile and non-sterile supplies to clinical departments as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and uphold regulatory compliance standards. Collaborate with nursing teams and other healthcare personnel to ensure timely instrument availability.
