Are you looking for an opportunity to learn and develop your skills in alterations and garment construction? Snip & Stitch is looking for a dependable, enthusiastic Apprentice Seamstress / Alterations Assistant to join our studio in Fort Lauderdale. You do not need to be an experienced tailor or seamstress. We are looking for someone with basic sewing or alterations experience who is eager to learn, works well with people, and takes pride in doing quality work. Experience may include working as a sewing or alterations assistant, helping a dressmaker or clothing designer, working in a tailor or alterations shop, or having basic hands-on sewing experience. What We're Looking For Basic sewing skills and some familiarity with alterations or garment construction Ability to take basic measurements for clothing alterations Must be able to communicate effectively in English with clients and team members Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable greeting clients, discussing their alteration needs, and assisting them in a friendly and professional manner A genuine interest in learning professional alterations and tailoring Dependable, punctual, organized, and willing to learn Attention to detail and pride in your work Ability to work full-time Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Reliable personal transportation What You'll Do Assist with basic clothing alterations and sewing projects Take measurements and assist clients with their alteration needs Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Communicate clearly with clients about their garments and requested alterations Learn alteration and tailoring techniques from experienced professionals Assist with fittings and garment preparation Help keep the studio clean, organized, and running smoothly Take on additional sewing and alteration responsibilities as your skills develop Learn and Grow With Us This is a great opportunity for someone who has some sewing experience but wants to learn more .
