Category Nursing - Sterile Processing Tech Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled professional experienced as a Sterile Processing Technician, with a focus on supporting nursing functions in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in sterile processing practices and hold current certification.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician training program Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician Demonstrated experience in decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical equipment Familiarity with infection control standards and hospital protocols Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Detail-oriented, with a commitment to patient and staff safety Basic knowledge of medical terminology and equipment related to sterile processing
Key Responsibilities:
Clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize instruments used in surgeries and medical procedures Monitor and document sterilization cycles, maintaining accurate records throughout all procedures Inspect surgical instruments for functionality and condition, reporting any damage or malfunction Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control guidelines at all times Prepare and deliver sterile trays and equipment to designated clinical areas as scheduled Inventory and restock sterile supplies to maintain continuous availability Collaborate with nursing and surgical staff to anticipate needs and resolve instrument-related issues promptly This assignment offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your technical skills while making a direct impact on patient outcomes.
