Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment of stock. Perform decontamination procedures on used instruments, ensuring thorough cleaning and preparation for sterilization. Reprocess endoscopes and other complex medical devices according to manufacturer guidelines and infection control protocols. Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and quality assurance documentation. Adhere to healthcare infection prevention and control standards, implementing best practices for infection prevention management. Requirements Proven experience in sterile processing medical instrument assembly, packaging, and sterilization within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical instruments and procedures. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, including sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, and endoscope reprocessing systems. Strong understanding of infection control principles, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection prevention protocols.
