Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Job Title:

Sterile Processing Technician Duties:

• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assemble and package surgical instrument trays
• Inspect instruments for damage or defects
• Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes
• Follow proper aseptic techniques to prevent infection
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper instrument availability

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices
• Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical instruments
• Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

One-year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in aa ASC setting

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

High school diploma or equivalent

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of surgical instruments. Your attention to detail, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and adherence to aseptic techniques will contribute to the success of our healthcare facility.
