Shift Needed:

PRN Receives soiled and contaminated instruments or equipment from surgery, anesthesia, and nursing units. Prepares, cleans, and disinfects instruments and equipment appropriately. Inspects all instruments and equipment for damages, malfunction, or unacceptable condition. Prepares instruments and equipment for sterilization by verifying correct items and quantities. Assures proper sterilization procedures are performed and the effectiveness of the sterilizing process. Maintains required records on sterilization and tracks equipment and instruments issued to nursing units.

Education:

Associate [Preferred] High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Work Experience:

Previous sterile processing technician experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support

•CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred] Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Preferred] OR Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Preferred]
