40 Hours/Week | (5x8 Hours) Night Shift - 11:00 PM-7:30 AM Compensation for 40 hours:

Weekly Gross:

$1,330/week ($33.25 per hour)

Taxable Weekly:

$680/weekly ($17per hour)

Housing/Meal Stipend:

$650/week Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Augusta, GA. The SPT will support sterile processing operations for a busy Surgical Services department, ensuring surgical instruments are properly decontaminated, inspected, assembled, sterilized, tracked, and prepared for use in the operating room. Key Responsibilities Perform daily Sterile Processing and Central Sterile operations Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments Process instruments and equipment for multiple surgical specialties Work with flexible cystoscopes and other surgical instrumentation Perform steam sterilization using Steris Steam Sterilizers Operate SPD decontamination and sterilization equipment Use Stryker VP4 Machines and other applicable SPD equipment Process instruments using Steris and Belimed ultrasonic washers Operate Steris Cart Washer and Washer/Disinfectors Prepare and process surgical trays and instrumentation Support Main OR surgical services Maintain sterile processing quality and infection-control standards Serve as a preceptor and provide guidance to new employees when needed Float within sectors of SPD as required Surgical Services Supported General Surgery GYN Cardiovascular/Thoracic Open Heart Laparoscopic Urology Orthopedics/Total Joints Neuro Spine and Crani Organ Procurement Requirements Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience Previous travel experience required First-time travelers will not be accepted CBSPD certification required

IAHCSMM/HSPA

certification preferred Strong sterile processing and decontamination experience Experience with surgical instrument assembly and sterilization Steam sterilization experience Experience with SPD decontamination equipment Flexible cystoscope processing experience preferred Ability to serve as a preceptor for new employees Must be willing to float within SPD sectors as required Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile processing standards
