STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN
to join our staff. Resurgens Fayette is a single-specialty orthopedic surgery practice. These important job-specific job duties for these technicians may include: Cleaning and sterilizing equipment Packaging and/or preparing equipment for use Operating medical equipment as needed Inspecting medical equipment for functionality and sterilization Maintaining inventory of medical equipment Ensuring medical procedure rooms are sterile Organizing medical equipment Transporting prepared equipment Recording test results for sterilization Using and maintaining autoclaves for sterilization
Required Skills:
Must be a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician High School Diploma or Equivalent 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician. Experience with all types of sterilizers. Knows operating room instrumentation. Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray. Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer. Understands Sterrad sterilizers. Ability to prepare reports and keep records. Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required. 1 year of central sterile processing in an acute setting IAHCSMM certification or similar national certification
