Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Travel Sterile Processing Technician, where your expertise ensures the safety and sterility of critical medical instruments used in patient care. In this vital role, you will travel to various healthcare facilities, providing specialized sterile processing services that uphold the highest standards of infection prevention and control. Your dedication will directly impact patient outcomes by ensuring surgical tools and medical equipment are meticulously cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse clinical environments while advancing your skills in sterile processing and infection prevention. Duties Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and packaging of surgical instruments and medical devices according to strict protocols. Reprocess endoscopes and other complex medical equipment using specialized techniques to ensure complete sterilization and functionality. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies and medical instruments, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment. Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination during all processing steps. Document sterilization cycles, maintenance logs, and quality assurance checks with precision and attention to detail. Collaborate with clinical staff to verify proper handling and storage of sterilized instruments for surgical procedures. Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately identify instruments and equipment requirements. Requirements Proven experience in sterile processing, including medical instrument assembly, packaging, and sterilization techniques. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures and instrument handling. Familiarity with infection prevention management practices within healthcare settings. Ability to operate specialized sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, washer/disinfectors, and endoscope reprocessors. Strong understanding of aseptic technique principles and infection control standards in healthcare environments. Excellent organizational skills for inventory management and documentation accuracy. Certification or training in sterile processing or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary credentials is expected. $1,480.00 - $1,520.00 per week
