Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 At Franciscan Health, the Lead CSP Technician performs duties necessary for the proper decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, distribution and documentation of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Clean and decontaminate reusable equipment, instruments, and supplies, both manually and mechanically. Assess supplies required for prescribed standard surgical procedures, and set up case carts. Maintain inventory, and ensure proper procedures of equipment handling processes. Monitor, read, document, and interpret all parameters for all types of sterilizers to ensure proper function. Perform emergency response duties consistent with training provided, in accordance with hospital policy. Participate in people management activities for unit team members, such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews. Monitor the operations of a unit, and provide input to the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations. Assemble instruments in trays following established tray listings for the issue, storage, or further processing, and ensure proper packing procedures according to policy.QUALIFICATIONS
Required High School Diploma/GED Preferred Associate's Degree 1 year Sterile Processing or Equivalent Required Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
- Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Certified Endoscope Preprocessor
