Job Description:
Sterilizes instruments following established protocols. Participates in in-service education programs and training. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Assembles instrument trays accurately. Documents procedures and maintains thorough records. Ensures all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized. Collaborates with team members to support hospital operations. Stocks patient care equipment efficiently. Handles specimens properly and ensures their correct disposition. Reviews and recommends changes to policies and procedures. Floats to other units as needed based on patient and census requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Returns sterile instruments to their proper location.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to accurately identify instruments Ability to operate Steam Sterilizers Ability to operate Washer Disinfector Accurately read and document Biological results. Properly clean patient care equipment Ability to accurately identify specialty instrumentation Ability to accurately process complex instrumentation
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv Technical/Vocational School Field of Study:

1+ position-related experience

Basic Life Support•CPR Cert (BLS)
