Sterile Processing Technician I LiveWell Homecare Agency Boston, MA Job Details 23 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support department operations, perform instrument cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and assembly tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Receiving, sorting, cleaning, and decontaminating reusable instruments and equipment per manufacturer guidelines Operating cleaning and sterilization machinery such as washers, reprocessors, and pasteurizers Inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments, preparing trays, and monitoring sterilizer settings Leading department operations in the absence of the SPD Manager by organizing workflow and prioritizing tasks Maintaining up-to-date knowledge through education and participation in hospital committees Assisting with staff training, competency testing, and managing workflow and safety as a charge person Collaborating with staff, OR personnel, and managers to ensure smooth operations and accurate documentation Troubleshooting operational issues and supporting decision-making and problem resolution Qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of three years of Sterile Processing experience Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Certified Endoscopy Reprocessor (CER) certification required at hire or within one year
