Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST) for a 13-week contract in Gardner, MA . In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instrumentation for perioperative services.

Pay Rate:
$27.00 / hour (All-Inclusive) |
Overtime:
$5 / hour (after 40 hours) Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrumentation using steam and ethylene oxide protocols. Run biological and chemical control tests at the start of shift and maintain accurate sterilizer logs. Clean endoscopes by hand and operate Medivator high-level disinfection equipment. Collaborate with OR charge nurses to prioritize tray assembly and throughput for daily surgical cases. Restock nursing unit supply carts, dispensing racks, and assist with inventory management.
Requirements & Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification:
Active Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST via
IAHCSMM/HOSA
) required.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 months in central sterile processing; knowledge of IAHCSMM standards.
Skills:
Proficient in aseptic technique, scope cleaning, autoclave operations, and tray assembly.
Contract Terms Hours:
32 hours/week (Day Shift)
On-Call:
Some weeknight and weekend call required
