Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts . This position plays a vital role in supporting surgical and procedural services by ensuring the proper cleaning, sterilization, inspection, assembly, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong central sterile processing experience, including endoscopy instrumentation, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.

Job Duration:
13 Weeks Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Central Sterile Processing experience required. Recent endoscopy instrument reprocessing experience is required. Active HSPA (CRCST) or CBSPD Sterile Processing certification. Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification. Strong knowledge of sterilization methods, infection prevention, and instrument decontamination. Experience with surgical instrument inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization. Familiarity with sterilization equipment and quality assurance procedures. Previous travel experience preferred. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to work weekends and required holidays as scheduled. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Responsibilities Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment. Process flexible endoscopy equipment according to established infection control guidelines. Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles for quality and compliance. Perform instrument tray assembly and verify completeness and functionality. Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization records and quality control processes. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, AAMI standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements. Identify damaged or malfunctioning instruments and coordinate repairs or replacement. Maintain adequate inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment. Collaborate with operating room, endoscopy, and other clinical departments to ensure timely instrument availability. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sterile processing environment while supporting high-quality patient care.
Pay:
$1,100.00 - $1,300.00 per week
