Non-Certified Central Processing Technician Position Summary The Non-Certified Central Processing Technician will work on the job to accumulate the hours to become eligible to gain IAHCSMM certification. This position works under the direction of a Certified Tech and/or a Lead Tech with the goal of working independently, and acquiring the technical skills and knowledge of all Central Processing functions. Their work areas and work stations include, but are not limited to, O.R customer service phone, walk-ups, Loaner check-ins, decontamination, prep pack, sterilization, and distribution of supplies and equipment used for patient care throughout TidalHealth. Due to the nature of this position, the individual must strictly adhere to Infection Control and Universal Precaution policies, procedures, and guidelines. Non-Certified Central Processing Position Requirements Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Required License and/or Certification Must become a Certified Central Sterile Technician within a year. Experience Experience working in a high pace environment that required detail inspection preferred. Experience working in a clinical or hospital environment that required Infection Control Protocols preferred. Experience working in an environment that required minimal supervision preferred. Non-Certified Central Processing Technician Benefits At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
