5×8 | 40 hrs/week guaranteed Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient healthcare environment by managing instrument processing workflows with precision and care. Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment. Prepare and package instrument trays according to hospital standards. Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles. Perform quality assurance checks and maintain sterilization records. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage. Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and instruments. Follow AAMI, OSHA, CDC, and facility infection prevention guidelines. Support Operating Room staff by ensuring instrument availability for scheduled and emergency procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant sterile processing department Requirements (CRCST or CBSPD) - Required Current BLS Certification Previous Sterile Processing experience in an acute care or hospital setting. Knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and infection control procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
