In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining sterile instruments and supplies used in surgical procedures and medical treatments. Your expertise will ensure that all sterile processing activities meet strict safety and quality standards, supporting patient safety and clinical efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and a commitment to maintaining aseptic techniques in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare surgical instruments and medical equipment by thoroughly cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing according to established protocols. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled procedures while minimizing waste. Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and sterilizers, monitoring cycles for proper completion. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including batch logs and quality assurance documentation. Assist clinical staff by providing sterile instruments and supplies promptly during procedures. Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct routine inspections of sterilized items for integrity and cleanliness before distribution. Collaborate with inventory management teams to track usage trends and reorder supplies as needed. Stay updated on best practices in sterile processing, including new technologies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Provider must have 24 months minimum of current Sterile Processing Technician/SPT experience•[
