Clarkston Surgery Center is an established ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in operation since 2009. The staff of this ASC are highly-trained professionals, who are committed to creating and working in a positive environment. Clarkston Surgery Center provides the highest level of surgical services. The staff works to continuously improve quality and service by focusing on the processes that are important in meeting the needs of patients and their families and physicians on staff at the facility.
Job Summary :
The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation, sterilization devices, instrument washers and monitoring systems.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician 3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician required. Preferred experience with daVinci Robot, eye surgery and endoscopy as well as experience with all types of sterilizers. Knowledge of operating room instrumentation. Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray. Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer, Sterrad sterilizers. Current BLS certification required. Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required. Promotes Environment of Care/Patient Safety.
