Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Sterile Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and handling of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Your expertise will support infection prevention efforts and uphold the highest standards of patient safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in sterile processing procedures, possess strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and adhere strictly to infection control protocols. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to healthcare quality and patient outcomes through meticulous instrument management and sterilization practices. Responsibilities Perform sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and packaging of surgical instruments and medical devices in accordance with established protocols. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring timely replenishment and accurate record-keeping. Reprocess endoscopes and other complex medical equipment following manufacturer guidelines and infection prevention standards. Maintain detailed documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and quality assurance records. Implement aseptic techniques during instrument handling to prevent contamination. Conduct routine inspections for instrument integrity, functionality, and cleanliness. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure all instruments are properly prepared for procedures. Support infection prevention initiatives by adhering to healthcare infection control policies. Assist in training new staff on sterilization procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation. Monitor compliance with sterilization standards set by regulatory agencies.
