Sterile Processing Technician Assistant Join our Sterile Processing team and play a key role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for assisting with the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment under the supervision of Sterile Processing Leadership. Key Responsibilities Receive and process instruments in the decontamination area. Load and unload instrument washers and cart washers. Restock department workstations and supplies. Assemble, inspect, and organize instrument trays and equipment. Store and distribute sterile instruments and supplies to clinical departments. Follow infection prevention, safety, and department procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Understanding of infection control practices and workflows. Ability to handle sensitive instruments with attention to detail. Ability to frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and stretch throughout the shift.
