Pride Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to support our client's medical facility based in Rochester, MN 59902. This is a 19-week travel assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room by ensuring the proper cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterile processing standards, inventory management, and sterilization tracking systems while maintaining a safe and efficient perioperative environment.Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. CBSPD or CRCST certification is required prior to start date. Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) CRCST certification accepted. Minimum 2 years of sterile processing, central service, or instrument sterilization experience in an acute care setting preferred. Experience handling and sterilizing surgical, medical, or dental instrumentation preferred. Knowledge of sterilization processes, surgical instrumentation, inventory management, and sterilization tracking systems. Familiarity with General Urology, GYN, and robotic surgical instrumentation preferred. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs or more and perform repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Clean, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established standards. Prepare and deliver sterile medical/surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for operating room procedures. Operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, washer disinfectors, and ultrasonic cleaners. Utilize computerized sterilization tracking systems to document instrument processing and maintain accurate records. Maintain inventory, stock, and storage of sterile supplies within the surgical core. Support surgical specialties including General Urology, Gynecology (GYN), and Da Vinci Robotic Surgery . Ensure compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards. Collaborate effectively with nurses, surgeons, and perioperative staff to support efficient surgical workflow. Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced operating room environment while maintaining attention to detail.
