Sterile Processing Technician / Central Sterile Technician

AM Certification Required:
Registered Certified Central Services Technician Experience Preferred:

At least 1 year of Central Services/Sterile Processing experience

Weekly Pay:

$1400

•1492/week Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to infection control policies. Sort, inspect, reassemble, wrap, and package instruments according to instrument cards and sterilization requirements. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, integrity, and functionality before assembly and sterilization. Maintain accurate sterilization and instrument processing documentation . Handle instruments, equipment, and supplies while maintaining sterility and integrity. Update instrument sets and sterilization methods as required. Operate and demonstrate proficiency with sterile processing equipment and technology. Maintain the decontamination and instrument assembly areas in a clean, organized, and efficient manner. Monitor supply usage and request supplies as needed. Follow all department policies, infection control procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements. Participate in department meetings, activities, and assigned projects. Support and mentor new employees within the department. Required Qualifications Certified Central Services Technician (CCST) / Registered Certified Central Services Technician certification required for consideration. Strong knowledge of sterile processing and decontamination/sterilization procedures . Ability to safely lift and handle heavy instrument sets . Ability to work the required evening/night schedule and participate in off-premise call . Ability to work effectively with both children and adults, including individuals with disabilities. Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year of prior Central Services/Sterile Processing experience . Knowledge of infection prevention and sterilization standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency with sterile processing equipment and technology.
