Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Records and Sterilization Technician to join our dynamic dental ortho team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff and accurate record taking. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while delivering exceptional care. The Records/Sterilization Technician will ensure that all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use in various dental procedures and photos, x-rays and intraoral scans are accurate and clear. Duties Perform cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during the sterilization process. Organize and manage inventory of sterilized instruments, ensuring they are readily available for clinical use. Assist in the setup and breakdown chairside before and after procedures. Collaborate with clinicians to ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control standards. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including monitoring sterilizers and documenting results. Support the clinical team in various tasks related to patient care as needed. Assist treatment coordinator with records including photos, x-rays and intraoral scans for new patient consultations as well as established patients. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred, but we are willing to train the ideal candidate. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff members. Must be able to handle physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights. Must have dental radiology certificate.
