Central Sterile Processing Technician

Job Description

The Central Sterile Processing Technician Instructor will be responsible for organizing, planning, and developing sound instructional and applicable experiences that support student success. Individuals assigned to this job may be asked to perform other duties as required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, respond to student needs, and facilitate effective instructional activities. Possess excellent computer, communication, surgical and instrument processing skills. Develop learner centered lesson plans that integrate varied instructional strategies (including modern technologies and lab experiences) and materials for different learning styles. Conduct appropriate assessments. Maintain students' records (grades and attendance) and meet established reporting deadlines. Refer students to campus resources when appropriate. Maintain professional, ethical, and legal responsibilities. Participate in professional development activities to maintain currency in the field as well as credentials/licensures as required by the program guidelines.
Education and Experience Required :
Certification as a
Central Sterile Technician Education and Experience Preferred :
Minimum two years of experience working as a Central Sterile Technician Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Prior teaching experience Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
