POSITION SUMMARY :

The Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for the monitoring and maintenance procedures for the sterilization of medical devices. Cleans and decontaminates equipment and instruments. Responsible for operation of steam and other forms of sterilization. Delivers and picks up equipment and contaminated instruments from the nursing units.
