Responsibilities:
Under supervision, perform duties of decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments. Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of OR surgical instruments. Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instrument sets, trays equipment, and machinery for various other departments. Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen sets for OR. Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen as requested by various departments. Monitor and maintain standards of sterilization as recommended by
JCAHO Qualifications:
High school or equivalent. Previous hospital experience preferred but not mandatory. Will be trained and inservice on the safe operation and use of department machinery. Must be certified as a Tech II within a 14 month period of employment.
