Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hireCertifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Required Skills Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hire Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Essential Functions Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements. Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety. Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need. Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy. Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.
