We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all dental and instruments are properly sterilized and maintained in accordance with infection control protocols. This role is crucial in providing a safe environment for both patients and staff, requiring a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices. You will also be cleaning and sterilizing dental rooms and take X-rays on patients. Responsibilities Operate sterilization equipment and ensure proper functioning through routine maintenance checks. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, tools, and equipment following established protocols. Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain accurate records of sterilization processes. Adhere to infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination in the clinic. Assist dental professionals by preparing treatment areas and ensuring all necessary instruments are available. Conduct routine checks of supplies and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels. Collaborate with the dental team to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and infection control measures. Cleaning Dental Rooms Taking Xrays Blood Pressure of Patients Skills - Nice to have but we will teach you. Proficiency in using 3D scanners for imaging purposes Knowledge of vital signs monitoring is beneficial. Experience in dental assisting or general dentistry is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly related to dental practices. Understanding of various systems used in dental clinics, including Dentrix software. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Awareness of infection control procedures specific to pediatrics is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols consistently.
